As part of the
Melbourne International Film Festival the Beer DeLuxe Beer Garden will be
transformed into a beautiful orchard (complete with astro turf and apple
trees), showcasing Old Mout Cider from Nelson, New Zealand. Whilst Beer DeLuxe is well known for its ‘flavour
first’ approach to beer, they also enjoy showcasing other artisanal fermented
beverages from around the world.
The cider garden will
be open on Friday 5 August from midday till late and Saturday 6 August from
midday till 8pm (when it will close to host the official MIFF exclusive closing
night party). Mulled cider will be on
offer to battle the cold weather and plenty of apple-themed food from the
always-creative Beer DeLuxe chefs.
There will be free
tastings of Old Mout Cider available on Friday 5 August from 5pm, but if a
tasting serve doesn’t cut it for you a voucher is available for download that
lets you get your second Old Mout purchase at half price.
What better way to
soak up some culture in Melbourne?See
an amazing film, drink some awesome cider, eat some cracking food and ignore
Melbourne’s dreary weather for an afternoon.Welcome to cider country!
